It is the 76th smallest by population in the U.S. state of Massachusetts. The census designated place encompasses an area of 3.65 mi˛ (9.45 square kilometre ), of which, 3.49 square miles (9.04 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.16 square miles (0.41 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 145th largest by total area among Massachusetts.
