Littleton City is a city located in Arapahoe, Jefferson and Douglas counties, Colorado, in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 40340 as per the Census data. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 40777, making it the 17th most populous in Colorado. The city comprises an area of 13.92 sq mi (36.05 kmē), of which, 13.52 square miles (35.02 kmē) of it is land and 0.41 square miles (1.06 kmē) of it is water, it is the 37th largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks 11 in the size of its inland waterways in Colorado.

As of the census of 2000, there were 40340 residents, 17313 households, and 10384 families in the city. The population density was 2984.8 people per square mile (1152.44/kmē), making its Colorado's 31st most densely populated city.
