Little River County, Arkansas is a county of the United States of Arkansas. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 13628 inhabitants. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 12807, making it Arkansas's 20th smallest county. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the county has a total area of 564.87 square miles (1463.01 kmē), of which, 531.73 square miles (1377.17 kmē) of it is land and 33.14 square miles (85.83 kmē) of it is water, makes it the fourth smallest by total area in Arkansas.

The population density was 25.6 people per square mile (9.88/kmē), making it the 47th most densely populated county in Arkansas. There were 6435 housing units at an average density of 12.1 per square mile (4.67/kmē). The average household size was 2.46 and the average family size was 2.95. In the county Age distribution was 25.2% under the age of 18, 8.4% from 18 to 24, 25.7% from 25 to 44, 25.6% from 45 to 64, and 15.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 105.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 110.7 females. The July 2008 population estimate is 12807, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 9675 White, 2668 Black or African American, 214 American Indian, 24 Asian, 4 Native Hawaiian, and 222 from two or more races.
