Lino Lakes City is a city located in the Anoka County, Minnesota, United States. As per the 2000 census, city has a population of 16791 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 20174 in July 2008, It is the 58th largest by population in the U.S. state of Minnesota. It is spread over 33.21 sq mi (86.01 sq km), of which, 28.22 square miles (73.09 sq km ) of it is land and 4.99 square miles (12.92 sq km) of it is water, making it Minnesota's 38th largest by total area. It is ranks 13 in the size of its inland waterways in Minnesota.

As of the census of 2000, there were 16791 people in the city, organized into 4857 households, and 4163 families residing in the city. The population density was 595.1 people per square mile (229.77/kmē), it is 451st most densely populated city in Minnesota. The median age was 32.9 years, the median age of male residents at 33.1 and the median age of female residents at 32.7.
