Lincoln County is a county located in the United States of Wyoming. The population of county in 2000 stood at 14573 as per the Census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 16631, It is Wyoming's 11th most populous county. The county has a total area of 4089.01 mi˛ (10590.49 square kilometre), of which, 4069.09 square miles (10538.89 square kilometre) of it is land and 19.92 square miles (51.59 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 12th largest by total area in Wyoming.

As of the census of 2000, there were 14573 residents, 5266 households, and 3948 families in the county. The population density was 3.6 people per square mile (1.39/km˛), it is the 15th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Wyoming. There were 6831 housing units at an average density of 1.7 per square mile (0.66/km˛). The average household size was 2.75 persons, and the average family size was 3.23 persons. In the county Population was distributed with 30.9% under the age of 18, 7.2% from 18 to 24, 25.4% from 25 to 44, 24.2% from 45 to 64, and 12.4% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 102 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 101.3 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 16631, The racial makeup of the county was 16262 White, 34 Black or African American, 119 American Indian, 34 Asian, 9 Native Hawaiian, and 173 from two or more races.
