Lincoln County is a county located in the United States of Tennessee. According to the 2000 census it had a population of 31340 inhabitants. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 33116, It is 44th most populous county in Tennessee. It covers total area of 570.63 square miles (1477.92 sq km), of which, 570.23 square miles (1476.89 sq km) of it is land and 0.39 square miles (1.01 sq km) of it is water, it is the 23rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Tennessee.


According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 31340 residents, 12503 households, and 9083 families in the county. The population density was 55 people per square mile (21.24/kmē), it would be the 60th most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Tennessee. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 33116, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 29969 White, 2393 Black or African American, 169 American Indian, 135 Asian, 10 Native Hawaiian, and 440 from two or more races.
