Lincoln County, Nevada is a county of the United States of Nevada. As of 2000 the population was 4165. In July 2008, its estimated population was 4898, It is the fifth smallest in terms of population. The county has a total area of 10636.77 mi˛ (27549.11 sq km), of which, 10633.61 square miles (27540.92 sq km) of it is land and 3.17 square miles (8.21 sq km) of it is water, giving it the third largest by total area among Nevada's county.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4165 people, 1540 households, and 1011 families living in the county. The population density was 0.4 people per square mile (0.15/km˛), it is the second least densely populated county in the U.S. state of Nevada. There were 2178 housing units at an average density of 0.2 per square mile (0.08/km˛). The average household size was 2.48 people, and the average family size was 3.15 people. In the county Population was distributed with 30.1% under the age of 18, 6% from 18 to 24, 21.9% from 25 to 44, 25.9% from 45 to 64, and 16.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 107.9 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 108.2 males. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the county is 4898, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 4644 White, 81 Black or African American, 94 American Indian, 15 Asian, 1 Native Hawaiian, and 63 from two or more races.
