Lincoln County is a United States county located in the United States of Mississippi. The county has a population of 33166 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 34931 in July 2008, It is Mississippi's 26th most populous county. It covers total area of 588.17 mi˛ (1523.35 sq km), of which, 585.71 square miles (1516.98 sq km) of it is land and 2.47 square miles (6.4 sq km) of it is water, giving it the 37th largest by total area among Mississippi's county.

The population density was 56.6 people per square mile (21.85/km˛), giving it the 26th most densely populated county among the Mississippi. There were 14052 housing units at an average density of 24 per square mile (9.27/km˛). The average household size was 2.59 persons, and the average family size was 3.08 persons. In the county Population was distributed with 26.7% under the age of 18, 9.5% from 18 to 24, 27.6% from 25 to 44, 22.3% from 45 to 64, and 13.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 92.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.6 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 34931, The racial makeup of the county was 68.35% White, 30.75% Black or African American, 0.19% American Indian, 0.3% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 0.4% from two or more races.
