Lincoln County is a county located in Minnesota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 6429 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 5837, making it the eighth least populous county in Minnesota. It has total area of 548.44 sq mi (1420.45 kmē), of which, 537.03 square miles (1390.9 kmē) of it is land and 11.41 square miles (29.55 kmē) of it is water, it is the 24th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.

The population density was 12 people per square mile (4.63/kmē), it is 18th least densely populated county in Minnesota. In the county Age distribution was 23.7% under the age of 18, 6.1% from 18 to 24, 23% from 25 to 44, 22.7% from 45 to 64, and 24.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 102.8 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 105.4 females. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 5837, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 5789 White, 3 Black or African American, 19 American Indian, 13 Asian, 0 Native Hawaiian, and 13 from two or more races.
