Lincoln County is a United States county located in the United States of Arkansas. The population of the county was 14492 as per the 2000 census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 13609, It is Arkansas's 23rd least populous county. It has total area of 572.17 square miles (1481.91 kmē), of which, 561.2 square miles (1453.5 kmē) of it is land and 10.97 square miles (28.41 kmē) of it is water, making it Arkansas's sixth smallest county by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 14492 people in the county, organized into 4265 households, and 3129 families living in the county. The population density was 25.8 people per square mile (9.96/kmē), giving it the 46th most densely populated county among the Arkansas. There were 4955 housing units at an average density of 8.8 per square mile (3.4/kmē). The average household size was 2.63 and the average family size was 3.11. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 22.2% under the age of 18, 12.4% from 18 to 24, 33.2% from 25 to 44, 20.4% from 45 to 64, and 11.9% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 142.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 154.7 males. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 13609, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 66.14% White, 32.46% Black or African American, 0.46% American Indian, 0.08% Asian, 0.01% Native Hawaiian, and 0.85% from two or more races.
