Lillington Town is a town located in Harnett County, North Carolina, in the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. In 2000, the population was 2915. Its population was estimated at 3283 in July 2008, It is the 203rd largest by population in the U.S. state of North Carolina. The town encompasses an area of 4.03 square miles (10.44 square kilometre ), of which, 3.99 square miles (10.33 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 221st largest by size in North Carolina.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2915 people, 799 households, and 484 families living in the town. The population density was 730.5 people per square mile (282.05/kmē), giving it the 311th most densely populated town among the North Carolina. There were 894 housing units at an average density of 224.1 per square mile (86.53/kmē). The average household size was 2.26 and the average family size was 2.88. In the Lillington Town, 15.2% of the population was under the age of 18, 8.9% were 18 to 24, 40.4% were 25 to 44, 17.5% were 45 to 64, and 17.9% who were 65 or older.
