Liberty Town is a one of the Amite County, Mississippi, located in Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 633. Its population was estimated at 670 in July 2008, It is the 216th most populous in the U.S. state of Mississippi. The town comprises an area of 2.07 square miles (5.36 kmē), of which, 2.06 square miles (5.34 kmē) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, makes it the 186th largest by total area in Mississippi.

As of the census of 2000, there were 633 people, 263 households, and 171 families residing in the town. The population density was 307.6 people per square mile (118.77/kmē), making it the 89th least densely populated town in Mississippi. There were 309 housing units at an average density of 150 per square mile (57.92/kmē). The average household size was 2.32 people, and the average family size was 2.96 people.
