Lewis County is a county located in Washington, in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The population of the county was 68600 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 74132, giving it the 15th largest population among Washington's county. The county encompasses an area of 2436.26 sq mi (6309.88 square kilometre ), of which, 2407.64 square miles (6235.76 square kilometre) of it is land and 28.63 square miles (74.15 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the eighth largest by area in the U.S. state of Washington.

The population density was 28.5 people per square mile (11/kmē), it would be the 21st most densely populated county in the U.S. state of Washington. In the county Age distribution was 26.5% under the age of 18, 8.2% from 18 to 24, 25.2% from 25 to 44, 24.5% from 45 to 64, and 15.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 101.7 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 104.8 females. The July 2008 population estimate is 74132, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 94.94% White, 0.7% Black or African American, 1.47% American Indian, 0.8% Asian, 0.22% Native Hawaiian, and 1.86% from two or more races.
