Letcher Town is a town located in Sanborn County, South Dakota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Letcher Town had an official population of 177 in 2000. It covers total area of 0.64 square miles (1.66 kmē), of which, 0.61 square miles (1.58 kmē) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 kmē) of it is water, making it South Dakota's 176th largest by total area.
