Lenox City is a city in the Taylor and Adams counties, Iowa, United States. The population of the city was 1401 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1244, making it the 208th most populous in Iowa. It is spread over 2.05 square miles (5.31 kmē), of which, 1.98 square miles (5.13 kmē ) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 kmē) of it is water, it is the 188th largest by area in the U.S. state of Iowa.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1401 people, 559 households, and 336 families residing in the city. The population density was 709 people per square mile (273.75/kmē), it is 508th most densely populated city in Iowa.
