Lenoir City is a United States city located in the Caldwell County, North Carolina, United States. The population of the city was 16793 as per the 2000 census data. The city's estimated population as of July 2008 was 17890, It is the 44th largest by population in the U.S. state of North Carolina. It has total area of 16.57 square miles (42.92 square kilometre), making it North Carolina's 43rd largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 16793 people, 6913 households, and 4572 families residing in the city. The population density was 1013.7 people per square mile (391.39/kmē), it is North Carolina's 199th most densely populated city.
