Lemmon City is a United States city located in the Perkins County, South Dakota, United States. Lemmon City had an official population of 1398 in 2000. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 1185, making it the 49th most populous in South Dakota. It covers total area of 1.01 square miles (2.62 kmē), it is the 114th largest by area in the U.S. state of South Dakota.
