Lehighton Borough is a borough located in Carbon County, Pennsylvania, in the Northeastern Region (Mid-Atlantic) of United States. Lehighton Borough had an official population of 5537 in 2000. The July 2008 population estimate is 5428, It is Pennsylvania's 249th largest by population . The borough has a total area of 1.75 sq mi (4.53 kmē), of which, 1.71 square miles (4.43 kmē) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 kmē) of it is water, it is the 440th largest in terms of geographical size.
