Lehigh County is a county in the United States of Pennsylvania. The county has a population of 312090 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 339989, making it Pennsylvania's 11th largest county. Its area is just over 348.34 sq mi (902.2 square kilometre), of which, 346.66 square miles (897.85 square kilometre) of it is land and 1.68 square miles (4.35 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the sixth smallest in terms of geographical size.

As of the census of 2000, there were 312090 people in the county, organized into 121906 households, and 82106 families living in the county. The population density was 900.3 people per square mile (347.61/kmē), it is the sixth most populated county in terms of population density. There were 128910 housing units at an average density of 371.9 per square mile (143.59/kmē). The average household size was 2.48 and the average family size was 3.02. In the county Population was distributed with 23.9% under the age of 18, 8.1% from 18 to 24, 29.2% from 25 to 44, 23% from 45 to 64, and 15.8% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.2 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 89.6 males. In July 2008, its estimated population was 339989, The racial makeup of the county was 304829 White, 19432 Black or African American, 1119 American Indian, 9896 Asian, 259 Native Hawaiian, and 4454 from two or more races.
