In 2000, census designated place's population was 33430 inhabitants. It is the 79th largest in terms of population. It covers total area of 95.98 square miles (248.59 sq km), of which, 94.89 square miles (245.76 sq km) of it is land and 1.09 square miles (2.82 sq km) of it is water, it is the seventh largest by area in the U.S. state of Florida.
