Leesville City is a city located in Vernon Parish, Louisiana, in the Southern Region (West South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 6753. The July 2008 population estimate is 5704, It is 84th most populous in Louisiana. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 5.48 mi˛ (14.19 square kilometre), of which, 5.45 square miles (14.12 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 114th largest by total area in Louisiana.

As of the census of 2000, there were 6753 people in the city, organized into 400 households, and 290 families residing in the city. The population density was 1238.7 people per square mile (478.26/km˛), it would be the 112th most densely populated city in the U.S. state of Louisiana.
