Leeds City is a city in the Jefferson, St. Clair and Shelby counties, Alabama, United States. Leeds City had an official population of 10455 in 2000. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 11312, giving it the 55th largest population among Alabama. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 22.5 square miles (58.27 square kilometre), of which, 22.35 square miles (57.89 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.15 square miles (0.39 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 40th largest by total area in Alabama.
