Lee County is a United States county located in the United States of Mississippi. The population of county in 2000 stood at 75755 as per the Census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 81139, It is Mississippi's seventh most populous county. The county extends throughout a territory of 453.14 mi˛ (1173.63 sq km ), of which, 449.59 square miles (1164.43 sq km) of it is land and 3.55 square miles (9.19 sq km) of it is water, it is the 22nd smallest in terms of geographical size.

The population density was 168.5 people per square mile (65.06/km˛), making its Mississippi's fifth most densely populated county. In the county the population was distributed as follows: 27.7% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 30.5% from 25 to 44, 21.8% from 45 to 64, and 11.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 92.3 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 87.5 males. Its population was estimated at 81139 in July 2008, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 58278 White, 21525 Black or African American, 128 American Indian, 511 Asian, 12 Native Hawaiian, and 685 from two or more races.
