Lee County is a county in the United States of Georgia. The population of county in 2000 stood at 24757 as per the Census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 33761, It is the 52nd largest county by population in the U.S. state of Georgia. It is spread over 362.01 square miles (937.6 sq km), of which, 355.77 square miles (921.44 sq km ) of it is land and 6.24 square miles (16.16 sq km) of it is water, it is the 74th largest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.

The population density was 69.6 people per square mile (26.87/kmē), it is Georgia's 67th most densely populated county. There were 8813 housing units at an average density of 24.8 per square mile (9.58/kmē). The average household size was 2.91 persons, and the average family size was 3.21 persons. In the county the population is diverse age-wise, with 30.7% under the age of 18, 8.5% from 18 to 24, 33.2% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 6.3% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 102.1 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 100.2 males. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the county is 33761, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 26511 White, 6455 Black or African American, 75 American Indian, 423 Asian, 10 Native Hawaiian, and 287 from two or more races.
