In 2000, the population was 5161. giving it the 419th largest population among Florida. It is spread over 27.05 square miles (70.06 kmē), of which, 27.04 square miles (70.03 kmē ) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 kmē) of it is water, making it the 51st largest by size in Florida.
