Le Sueur City is a city in the Le Sueur and Sibley counties, Minnesota, United States. It is home to over 3922 people (2000 census). Its population was estimated at 4252 in July 2008, It is Minnesota's 149th largest by population . It has total area of 4.65 square miles (12.04 sq km), of which, 4.46 square miles (11.55 sq km) of it is land and 0.19 square miles (0.49 sq km) of it is water, making it Minnesota's 166th largest by total area.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3922 residents, 1545 households, and 1026 families in the city. The population density was 879 people per square mile (339.38/kmē), giving it the 342nd most densely populated city among the Minnesota. There were 1589 housing units at an average density of 356.3 per square mile (137.57/kmē). The average household size was 2.48 people, and the average family size was 3.07 people. In the city the population is diverse age-wise, with 27.8% under the age of 18, 7.8% from 18 to 24, 26.7% from 25 to 44, 20.5% from 45 to 64, and 17.2% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 93.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 88.2 males.
