Layton City is a city in the Monroe County, Florida, United States. The population of city in 2000 stood at 186 as per the Census data. The July 2008 population estimate is 191, It is the 24th least populous in the U.S. state of Florida. It is spread over 0.24 square miles (0.62 square kilometre), of which, 0.22 square miles (0.57 square kilometre ) of it is land and 0.03 square miles (0.08 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 36th smallest by total area in Florida.
