Lava Hot Springs City, Bannock County, Idaho is a city located in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The city has a population of 521 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 492, giving it the 125th largest population among Idaho. It has total area of 0.71 mi˛ (1.84 sq km), it is the 119th largest by area in the U.S. state of Idaho.

As of the census of 2000, there were 521 people in the city, organized into 232 households, and 126 families residing in the city. The population density was 730.7 people per square mile (282.12/km˛), giving it the 63rd least densely populated city among the Idaho. There were 309 housing units at an average density of 435.2 per square mile (168.03/km˛). The average household size was 2.23 persons, and the average family size was 3.06 persons.
