Lauderdale Lakes City is one of the city of Broward County, Florida, located towards the Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. The city has a population of 31705 as per the 2000 census data. In July 2008, its estimated population was 31004, It is the 87th largest by population in the U.S. state of Florida. It covers total area of 3.64 square miles (9.43 sq km), of which, 3.59 square miles (9.3 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, it is the 437th largest in terms of geographical size.

The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 7596 White, 21476 Black or African American, 38 American Indian, 328 Asian, 19 Native Hawaiian, 1645 from two or more races and 603 Ohter races.
