Lathrop City is a city in the San Joaquin County, California, United States. In 2000, the population was 10445. As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 17197, It is the 436th most populous in the U.S. state of California. The city has a total area of 16.72 square miles (43.3 square kilometre), of which, 16.38 square miles (42.42 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.34 square miles (0.88 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 197th largest by area in the U.S. state of California.
