Larue County, Kentucky is a county located in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 13373 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 13722 in July 2008, It is Kentucky's 39th least populous county. The county has a total area of 263.72 mi˛ (683.03 sq km), of which, 263.2 square miles (681.68 sq km) of it is land and 0.53 square miles (1.37 sq km) of it is water, it is the 81st largest in terms of geographical size.

Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 13722, The racial makeup of the county was 12978 White, 502 Black or African American, 27 American Indian, 22 Asian, 4 Native Hawaiian, and 189 from two or more races.
