Laramie City, Albany County, Wyoming is a city located in the Western Region (Mountain) of United States. The city has a population of 27204 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 27664, It is the third largest in terms of population. The city encompasses an area of 11.16 square miles (28.9 sq km ), of which, 11.14 square miles (28.85 sq km) of it is land and 0.02 square miles (0.05 sq km) of it is water, it is the 39th largest by area in the U.S. state of Wyoming.

As of the census of 2000, there were 27204 people in the city, organized into 11336 households, and 5608 families residing in the city. The population density was 2442.5 people per square mile (943.05/kmē), giving it the fifth most densely populated city among the Wyoming. There were 11994 housing units at an average density of 1076.7 per square mile (415.72/kmē). The average household size was 2.19 persons, and the average family size was 2.83 persons. In the city Age distribution was 17.5% under the age of 18, 31.8% from 18 to 24, 25.8% from 25 to 44, 16.8% from 45 to 64, and 8.1% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 93.4 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 93.8 females. The median age is 25.3 years, The median age of males was 24.7 years, for females the median age was 26.3 years. The racial makeup of the city was 90.81% White, 1.24% Black or African American, 0.89% American Indian, 1.92% Asian, 0.06% Native Hawaiian, 2.19% from two or more races and 2.89% Other races.
