Laporte County, Indiana is a county located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The county has a population of 110106 as per the 2000 census data. The county's estimated population as of July 2008 was 110888, giving it the 15th largest population among Indiana's county. The county has a total area of 613.04 square miles (1587.77 square kilometre), of which, 598.24 square miles (1549.43 square kilometre) of it is land and 14.8 square miles (38.33 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the third largest by total area in Indiana. It is ranks fifth in the size of its inland waterways in Indiana.

For every 100 females there were 105.5 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 105.3 males. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 110888, The racial or ethnic makeup of the county was 87.11% White, 10.55% Black or African American, 0.35% American Indian, 0.46% Asian, 0.03% Native Hawaiian, and 1.49% from two or more races.
