Lapeer County, Michigan is a county located in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. As per the 2000 census, county has a population of 87904 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 90875, making it the 22nd most populous county in Michigan. The county encompasses an area of 663.08 sq mi (1717.37 square kilometre ), of which, 654.2 square miles (1694.37 square kilometre) of it is land and 8.88 square miles (23 square kilometre) of it is water, makes it the 49th largest by total area in Michigan.

In the county the population was spread out, with 28% under the age of 18, 7.7% from 18 to 24, 31% from 25 to 44, 23.8% from 45 to 64, and 9.6% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 97.6 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 98.9 females. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 90875, The racial makeup of the county was 88049 White, 1107 Black or African American, 368 American Indian, 434 Asian, 8 Native Hawaiian, and 909 from two or more races.
