Lansing Village is a United States city located in the Tompkins County, New York, United States. The population of the city was 3417 as per the 2000 census data. Its population was estimated at 3428 in July 2008, It is 434th most populous in New York. The city comprises an area of 4.63 mi˛ (11.99 square kilometre), of which, 4.61 square miles (11.94 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.01 square miles (0.03 square kilometre) of it is water, giving it the 228th largest by total area among New York.

As of the census of 2000, there were 3417 people, 1620 households, and 809 families living in the city. The population density was 740.7 people per square mile (285.99/km˛), it is New York's 278th least densely populated city. There were 1705 housing units at an average density of 369.8 per square mile (142.78/km˛). The average household size was 2.06 persons, and the average family size was 2.82 persons. In the city the population was spread out, with 18.9% under the age of 18, 11.4% from 18 to 24, 41.1% from 25 to 44, 19.3% from 45 to 64, and 9.3% who were 65 or older.
