As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 551, It is 349th least populous in Pennsylvania. The borough comprises an area of 2.62 sq mi (6.79 square kilometre), of which, 2.55 square miles (6.6 square kilometre) of it is land and 0.07 square miles (0.18 square kilometre) of it is water, it is the 258th largest by area in the U.S. state of Pennsylvania.
