Lane County, Kansas is a county located in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. In 2000, county's population was 2155 inhabitants. Its population was estimated at 1743 in July 2008, It is the third smallest in terms of population. It covers total area of 717.43 sq mi (1858.14 kmē), of which, 717.22 square miles (1857.59 kmē) of it is land and 0.21 square miles (0.54 kmē) of it is water, it is the 69th largest by area in the U.S. state of Kansas.
