Lakota City is a city located in the Nelson County, North Dakota, United States. The city has a population of 781 as per the 2000 census data. According to July 2008 Census Bureau estimates, the population of the city is 696, making it the 75th most populous in North Dakota. The city spans an area of 1.02 sq mi (2.64 square kilometre), making it North Dakota's 104th largest by total area.
