Lakeport City, Lake County, California is a city located in the Western Region (Pacific) of United States. The city has a population of 4820 as per the 2000 census data. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 5142, It is the 602nd largest in terms of population. The city comprises an area of 2.78 mi˛ (7.2 sq km), of which, 2.68 square miles (6.94 sq km) of it is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 sq km) of it is water, it is the 720th largest by area in the U.S. state of California.

As of the census of 2000, there were 4820 people in the city, organized into 1967 households, and 1234 families living in the city. The median age of the city's population was 40.8 years, the median age of male residents at 39.1 and the median age of female residents at 42.4. The racial makeup of the city was 4276 White, 36 Black or African American, 96 American Indian, 72 Asian, 8 Native Hawaiian, 164 from two or more races and 168 Ohter races.
