Lakeland City is a one of the Lanier County, Georgia, located in Southern Region (South Atlantic) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 2730. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 2631, It is the 205th largest in terms of population. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.13 square miles (8.11 sq km), of which, 3.1 square miles (8.03 sq km) of it is land and 0.04 square miles (0.1 sq km) of it is water, it is the 270th largest by area in the U.S. state of Georgia.
