Lake Town is a town located in Scott and Newton counties, Mississippi, in the Southern Region (East South Central) of United States. As of 2000 the population was 408. Its population in July 2008 was estimated to be about 406, giving it the 68th smallest population among Mississippi. The town spans an area of 1.1 square miles (2.85 sq km), it is the 88th smallest by area in the U.S. state of Mississippi.

According to 2000 Census Bureau, there were 408 people, 147 households, and 108 families living in the town. The population density was 370.2 people per square mile (142.94/kmē), it is the 104th least populated town in terms of population density.
