Lake Station City is a city located in Lake County, Indiana, in the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. The population of the city was 13948 as per the 2000 census data. As of July 2008, the estimated population was 13246, It is Indiana's 56th largest by population . According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 8.47 miē (21.94 kmē), of which, 8.3 square miles (21.5 kmē) of it is land and 0.17 square miles (0.44 kmē) of it is water, it is the 52nd largest by area in the U.S. state of Indiana.
