Lake Quivira City is a city located in Johnson and Wyandotte counties, Kansas, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. It is home to over 932 people (2000 census). The July 2008 population estimate is 941, making it the 213th most populous in Kansas. It has total area of 1.57 square miles (4.07 sq km), of which, 1.3 square miles (3.37 sq km) of it is land and 0.26 square miles (0.67 sq km) of it is water, it is the 123rd largest in terms of geographical size. It is ranks 13 in the size of its inland waterways in Kansas.

The population density was 715.3 people per square mile (276.18/kmē), giving it the 203rd least densely populated city among the Kansas. For every 100 females there were 104.4 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 97.9 males. The median age was 52.6 years, the median age of male residents at 52.2 and the median age of female residents at 52.8. The racial makeup of the city was 905 White, 8 Black or African American, American Indian, 5 Asian, Native Hawaiian, 14 from two or more races and Ohter races.
