Lake Preston City is a city located in Kingsbury County, South Dakota, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. Lake Preston City had an official population of 737 in 2000. Its population was estimated at 653 in July 2008, It is the 99th largest by population in the U.S. state of South Dakota. The city has a total area of 0.74 sq mi (1.92 kmē), giving it the 154th largest by total area among South Dakota.
