Lake Ozark City is a city located in Miller and Camden counties, Missouri, in the Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. It is home to over 1489 people (2000 census). As of July 2008, the estimated population of the city is 2040, giving it the 292nd largest population among Missouri. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 7.76 square miles (20.1 sq km), of which, 7.04 square miles (18.23 sq km) of it is land and 0.73 square miles (1.89 sq km) of it is water, it is the 73rd largest by area in the U.S. state of Missouri. It is ranks 16 in the size of its inland waterways in Missouri.

As of the census of 2000, there were 1489 people, 649 households, and 428 families living in the city. The population density was 211.6 people per square mile (81.7/kmē), it is the 63rd least populated city in terms of population density. There were 1143 housing units at an average density of 162.4 per square mile (62.7/kmē). The average household size was 2.29 people, and the average family size was 2.76 people.
