Lake Orion Village is a United States city located in the Oakland County, Michigan, United States. As of 2000 the population was 2715. It has an estimated population (as of July 2008) of 2713, It is 264th most populous in Michigan. It has total area of 1.28 mi˛ (3.32 sq km), of which, 0.76 square miles (1.97 sq km) of it is land and 0.52 square miles (1.35 sq km) of it is water, it is the 412th largest by area in the U.S. state of Michigan.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2715 people, 1198 households, and 634 families living in the city. The population density was 3575.4 people per square mile (1380.47/km˛), it is Michigan's 54th most densely populated city. There were 1320 housing units at an average density of 1736.8 per square mile (670.58/km˛). The average household size was 2.17 persons, and the average family size was 2.99 persons. In the city the population was distributed as follows: 20.3% under the age of 18, 8.7% from 18 to 24, 33.6% from 25 to 44, 22.9% from 45 to 64, and 14.5% who were 65 or older. For every 100 females there were 98.8 males. For every 100 females age 18 and over, there were 95.7 males. The median age of the city's population was 38.1 years, the median age of male residents at 36.4 and the median age of female residents at 39.9. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 97.79% White, 0.26% Black or African American, 0.33% American Indian, 0.29% Asian, 0.04% Native Hawaiian, 1.18% from two or more races and 0.11% Other races.
