Lake Forest City is one of the city of Lake County, Illinois, located towards the Midwestern Region (East North Central) of United States. Its area is just over 16.91 sq mi (43.8 sq km), of which, 16.87 square miles (43.69 sq km) of it is land and 0.05 square miles (0.13 sq km) of it is water, making it the 25th largest by size in Illinois.
