Lake Elsinore City is a city in the Riverside County, California, United States. In 2000, city's population was 28928 inhabitants. In July 2008, its estimated population was 50952, It is 241st most populous in California. It has total area of 38.78 square miles (100.44 square kilometre), of which, 33.8 square miles (87.54 square kilometre) of it is land and 4.97 square miles (12.87 square kilometre) of it is water, making it the 58th largest by size in California.
