Lake City City is a one of the Wabasha and Goodhue counties, Minnesota, located in Midwestern Region (West North Central) of United States. According to the latest population census dating back to 2000, the Lake City City is home to 4950 inhabitants. As of July 2008, the population was estimated at 5285, It is 128th most populous in Minnesota. It covers total area of 4.3 sq mi (11.14 sq km), of which, 4.24 square miles (10.98 sq km) of it is land and 0.06 square miles (0.16 sq km) of it is water, it is the 176th largest by area in the U.S. state of Minnesota.

The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 96.81% White, 0.63% Black or African American, 0.4% American Indian, 1.11% Asian, 0% Native Hawaiian, 0.77% from two or more races and 0.28% Other races.
