Lake City City, Georgia is a city of the Clayton County, Georgia, United States. As of 2000 the population was 2886. Its population was estimated at 2682 in July 2008, It is the 198th most populous in the U.S. state of Georgia. Its area is just over 1.81 sq mi (4.69 square kilometre), giving it the 389th largest by total area among Georgia.

As of the census of 2000, there were 2886 people in the city, organized into 950 households, and 691 families living in the city. The population density was 1594.5 people per square mile (615.64/kmē), making its Georgia's 72nd most densely populated city. There were 1022 housing units at an average density of 564.6 per square mile (217.99/kmē). The average household size was 2.78 and the average family size was 3.18. In the city the population was spread out, with 23.6% under the age of 18, 8.3% from 18 to 24, 28.8% from 25 to 44, 21.3% from 45 to 64, and 18% who were 65 or older. For every 100 males there were 108.7 females. For every 100 males age 18 and over, there were 116.5 females. The median age was 36.6 years, the median age of male residents at 33 and the median age of female residents at 39.7. The racial or ethnic makeup of the city was 1498 White, 930 Black or African American, 27 American Indian, 279 Asian, 4 Native Hawaiian, 56 from two or more races and 92 Ohter races.
